DEV3 Solo is a Shopify theme for a brand built around one hero product: a smart bottle, a gadget, a skincare hero, a kitchen tool. The home page works like a product landing page that tells the story from the first scroll to the buy button, with rich motion and one 3D object: a procedural product (a bottle in the demo, or your own GLB) that turns in the hero and recolours when a shopper picks a colour.
A landing page in sections
The home template is a scroll story. Each part is a section you can reorder, hide or duplicate:
- Solo hero: the product with its 3D object, an animated headline, price, rating and up to four floating spec chips.
- Marquee for press or benefits, a manifesto heading with a scroll-scrubbed highlight, and animated stats.
- Scroll story: a pinned visual with feature chapters; with the 3D option on, the product turns to each step.
- Spec callouts: a product image with labelled hotspots, each positioned with X and Y sliders.
- Stacked cards for use cases, a comparison table against up to two alternatives (type yes or no for icons), How it works steps and testimonials.
- FAQ with FAQ structured data, and the Solo sticky buy bar that appears after the hero and hides at the offer and footer.
Bundle offers from your own variants
- Give the product a Pack option whose values start with a quantity (1 bottle, 2 bottles, 3 bottles) and price each pack variant.
- The Solo bundle offer section shows one card per pack with a tagline, calculates a "Save X%" badge against buying singles, and updates the price and add-to-cart button for the chosen colour.
- No discount app and no fake savings: the badge is worked out from your real variant prices.
Product page and store
- A product section with media left or right, stacked or thumbnail gallery, a sticky info column and a sticky add-to-cart bar; blocks for rating (from the standard reviews metafields), variant pills or dropdown, inventory status, buy buttons with accelerated checkout, feature ticks, collapsible tabs and app blocks.
- Two alternate templates: product.landing (story, FAQ and recommendations) and product.minimal.
- Every standard template is styled, so Solo also handles accessories and a small catalogue.
Online Store 2.0, built from scratch
- Our own Online Store 2.0 base, built from scratch (not a Dawn fork): JSON templates, sections everywhere, app blocks, and header and footer section groups. Every section can be added, reordered, duplicated or hidden in the theme editor.
- Cart drawer that updates in place, predictive search, quick view and quick add, Storefront filtering and sorting (with the free Search & Discovery app), swatches, recommendations, recently viewed, mega menu, country and language selectors, customer accounts, gift card and password pages.
- Native 3D model media: upload a
.glb or .usdz to a product and the gallery shows Shopify's 3D viewer with a "View in your space" AR button on supported phones.
- Motion settings: animation level Off, Subtle or Full, reveal style, duration and stagger, split headings, magnetic buttons and tilt. Visitors who ask for reduced motion always get static content, and the 3D object shows a still frame.
- The 3D engine (three.js) is not part of the initial page load: it downloads only when the hero object is near the viewport and pauses offscreen. Without WebGL, a poster image shows instead. The initial JavaScript is about 23 KB gzip.
- Shopify Theme Check: 0 errors. The theme was tested live on a Shopify development store: add to cart, the cart drawer and the handoff to Shopify checkout.
There is no public live demo, because the demo runs on a password-protected development store. Watch the video tour at the top of this page, or step through the screenshots at desktop, tablet and phone sizes.
