DEV3 Solace is a WordPress theme for hotels, resorts, boutique stays and spas. It opens on a full-bleed image hero with a split serif headline and a glass booking bar for dates, guests and room, and it carries that calm, warm look through rooms, dining, spa, experiences and offers. Motion is everywhere, and there is one small 3D accent: a glass room key that glows like a pool light and drifts from day to dusk as you scroll.

There is no public live demo. Watch the video tour at the top of this page, or step through the screenshots at desktop, tablet and phone sizes.

Rooms and suites

  • Rooms are a post type with a rate, rate period and currency, maximum guests, beds, size, view, amenities (one per line), a gallery and an optional external booking link. Categories such as Rooms, Suites and Villas drive the filters.
  • The room page has an image hero with the rate, a floating facts strip (guests, beds, size), your text, ticked amenities, a gallery, a sticky booking card with the room preselected and three other rooms. Build a room in Elementor instead and the theme renders your layout.
  • The rooms page lists every room with category filters, a grid/list switch, rates and facts. On the home page the rooms glide sideways in a pinned horizontal rail, which becomes a swipe row on phones.
  • HotelRoom, Resort, Event and FAQ structured data are printed automatically.

Booking requests

  • The Request Form widget (and block) takes booking requests: check-in, check-out, adults, children and room. Choose a room and it shows a live estimate of the rate times the number of nights.
  • The Bar layout becomes the glass booking bar in the hero; the Card layout is the full form used on the rooms page and room template.
  • Requests are validated (nonce, honeypot, rate limit), stored under Requests in the dashboard and emailed to the site admin. No payment is taken: your team confirms each stay.
  • Already use a booking engine? Add its link to a room's External booking link, or paste a Contact Form 7 or WPForms shortcode into the widget.

Dining, spa, experiences and offers

  • Dining with each restaurant opening on a mask-reveal image, hours and a reservation button.
  • Spa and wellness with a ritual timeline, treatments and spa packages.
  • Experiences as sticky stacked cards, plus events and hosts.
  • Offers as direct-booking packages, a gallery with mask reveals, a location page with a click-to-load map, reviews and a journal.

Gift vouchers with WooCommerce

  • The demo shop sells gift vouchers (a variable product by amount), stay and dinner vouchers, spa packages and "Solace at home" products.
  • Vouchers are virtual, so checkout skips shipping. The mini-cart drawer, quick view and both classic and block checkouts are styled.

Motion, with one 3D accent

  • Every Elementor widget and container gets an Advanced → DEV3 Motion panel: split headings, reveals, staggered grids, mask wipes, a pinned horizontal rail, sticky stacked cards, hover tilt, parallax and scroll progress.
  • Add a second image to a hero and it cross-fades from day to dusk as the visitor scrolls.
  • The 3D room key (preset Solace · glass room key) has controls for light (day to dusk while scrolling, day or dusk), room number, engraving, ring and key metal, idle spin and scroll turn. It loads only when it comes near the screen, pauses offscreen and can be dragged.
  • Visitors who prefer reduced motion see the final state, the rail becomes a swipe row and the key shows a still poster.

Edit everything

  • Every demo page is built with the free Elementor plugin and DEV3 widgets: Kinetic Heading, Magnetic Button, Request Form, Post Type Grid, Pricing, Hover List, Testimonials, Event List, Counter, Timeline, FAQ, Contact / Map, Product Grid and 3D Scene.
  • Every widget has a block-editor twin, and the theme adds 24 block patterns, from an image hero and three rooms to a spa ritual and a getting-here section.
  • Customizer: header style (transparent over heroes, solid or centred), sticky header, the header button, 3D quality, smooth scrolling, custom cursor, footer and newsletter, shop and blog. Colours and fonts (Playfair Display and Plus Jakarta Sans, self-hosted) sync to Elementor's global colours and fonts.
  • A child theme is included.

Performance and accessibility

  • The 3D engine (about 207 KB gzip) loads only on pages that use it; motion is a 6 KB chunk loaded on demand.
  • Fonts are self-hosted, with no runtime CDN calls.
  • Skip link, focus styles, labelled form fields, alt text on demo images, reduced-motion support and RTL. Translation-ready with a .pot file.
