DEV3 Glow – Beauty & Skincare Shopify Theme (Online Store 2.0)

DEV3 Glow is a Shopify theme for skincare, beauty and cosmetics brands. It is soft and premium (a frosted pill header, drifting aura gradients, Cormorant italics, dewy cards and glowing pill buttons on milk, aubergine, blush and lilac schemes) with gentle motion and one 3D object: a glass dropper bottle with rising bubbles that turns slowly in the hero.

Help shoppers build a routine

• Skin quiz: three questions (skin type, main focus, number of steps), one at a time with a progress bar, then a suggested routine of 3 or 4 products from your own catalogue, with a total and an Add routine to bag button. Products are matched by tags, so the quiz works with any catalogue. Its disclaimer text is editable.
• Routine bundles: up to 4 routines (morning, evening, and so on), each with up to 4 products, stacked product shots, a price per step and a total. Add routine to bag adds every available product at once. It creates no discount; add one in Shopify if you want routine pricing.
• Ingredient explorer: up to 8 ingredients, each with a family, an image, what it does, who it suits and a "find it in" product. An accessible tablist with arrow keys and circular image reveals.

Honest proof

• Before / after slider with a real range input (so it works from the keyboard) and a divider that sweeps once into view. The demo images are illustrative 3D renders and the caption says so; if you show real results, use unretouched photos with consent and keep the "results vary" caption.
• Reviews with an average that counts up, an animated star distribution and cards with skin type, a verified badge and the product. They are typed in the editor, so mark samples as samples, or add your reviews app's block for verified reviews.
• A claims note block on the product page and demo copy that keeps cosmetic claims modest ("helps skin feel", "looks").

A product page for skincare

• Skin type chips from skin-* tags, a Key ingredient callout from a metafield that links to your ingredient glossary, and numbered How to use steps from a multi-line metafield.
• Shade swatches for Shade or Colour options (round swatches on the product page and quick view, mini dots on cards) and size pills, each variant with its own image.
• Native 3D model media: upload a .glb or .usdz to a product and the gallery shows Shopify's 3D viewer with a "View in your space" AR button on supported phones. The demo serum ships with its model.

Online Store 2.0, built from scratch

• Our own Online Store 2.0 base, built from scratch (not a Dawn fork): JSON templates, sections everywhere, app blocks, and header and footer section groups. Every section can be added, reordered, duplicated or hidden in the theme editor.
• Cart drawer that updates in place with a free-delivery meter and upsells, predictive search, quick view and quick add, Storefront filtering and sorting (with the free Search & Discovery app), recommendations, recently viewed, sticky add to cart, mega menu, country and language selectors, customer accounts, gift card and password pages.
• Page templates for About, Build your routine, Ingredient glossary, FAQ and Contact.
• Motion settings: animation level Off, Subtle or Full, reveal style, duration and stagger. Blur-in reveals, bobbing chips and glowing buttons; visitors who ask for reduced motion always get static content, and the bottle shows a still frame.
• The 3D engine (three.js) is not part of the initial page load: it downloads only when the hero object is near the viewport and pauses offscreen. Without WebGL, a poster image shows instead. The initial JavaScript is about 25 KB gzip.
• Shopify Theme Check: 0 errors. The theme was tested on a Shopify development store, from add to cart to the cart drawer and cart page.

There is no public live demo, because the demo runs as an unpublished preview on a password-protected development store. Watch the video tour at the top of this page, or step through the screenshots at desktop, tablet and phone sizes.

What's in the download

• dev3-glow-1.0.0.zip: the theme. Upload this zip itself under Online Store → Themes → Add theme → Upload zip file.
• Documentation/: the HTML guide (open index.html).
• Demo-Content/: products.csv, seed.json, images/ and models/glow-dew-drop-serum.glb, plus a README for the manual import.
• LICENSE.txt and START-HERE.txt

The demo is the fictional Glow Botanica brand: 16 products across cleanse, treat, moisturise and glow (29 variants with sizes and shades), 6 collections, 6 pages, a Skin Journal with 3 articles, ingredient images, illustrative before/after renders and a 3D serum model. Import it with Products → Import (CSV) and follow the demo README for images, metafields, collections, pages and menus. A scripted seed is available from DEV3 support on request; it runs against your own store with your own Admin API token.
