DEV3 Gemmora is a free WordPress and WooCommerce theme for jewellers, watchmakers and fine-gift boutiques. It is quiet and luxurious: Cinzel capitals on ivory paper, onyx bands, hairline gold keylines and photographs that do the talking. Motion is light (split headings, reveals, a slow drift on the hero) and respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

Built to sell fine jewellery

  • Five collections (rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, watches) plus Bridal and Gifts, each opening with a split onyx hero, collection chips and product counts.
  • Metal, stone and size variations with round colour swatches for metals and stones and text buttons for sizes and chain lengths.
  • Ring-size guide as a dialog on every ring page, a product tab and its own page, with a US / UK / EU table and a paper-strip method.
  • Engraving (up to 18 characters, three styles, live preview) and a gift box with handwritten note, saved to the cart, the order and the confirmation.
  • Materials and certificate, care notes, details and delivery, returns and resizing tabs driven by simple product fields.
  • Bridal landing, bespoke design consultation request form, gift guide by budget, care guide and salon pages.
  • Mini-cart drawer, wishlist page and quick view from the DEV3 Theme Toolkit.

Pages included in the demo

Home, Bridal, Bespoke design, Gift guide, Ring-size guide, Care guide, Stores with an appointment request form, About, Contact, FAQ, Journal, Collections (editorial edits) and the shop pages, with 34 demo products under fictional brands. No real jewellery or watch brand appears on any dial, box or label.

Built for editing

Every demo page is built in Elementor (free) with the DEV3 Theme Toolkit widgets, and 25 block patterns cover the same sections for the block editor. Colours and fonts come from one token file and sync to the Customizer, theme.json and the Elementor kit. Fonts are self-hosted. The demo photos are free-licence (CC0) stock photos listed in PHOTO-CREDITS.md; all names, products, prices and quotes are fictional.

How it's built

Architecture, stack, key decisions and the quality gates DEV3 Gemmora passed before release.

A free luxury WooCommerce theme for jewellers: metal, stone and size variations, a ring-size guide, engraving and gift-box add-ons, bridal and bespoke pages and a gift guide, built on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

Jewellery is a high-trust, low-touch purchase online: shoppers worry about size, metal, authenticity and whether a gift can be personalised. Generic store themes show a grid and a price. Gemmora had to answer those worries on the product page, offer engraving and a gift box without a plugin, guide visitors to a bespoke consultation, stay fully editable in Elementor, and look luxurious and clearly different from fashion and multipurpose shops, with photography instead of 3D viewers.

Architecture and approach

Gemmora is a classic PHP theme with theme.json on DEV3's flat theme core: no three.js or WebGL, enforced by a build gate, with about 12 KB of always-loaded JavaScript gzipped.

Metals, stones and sizes are global attributes: metals and stones get a colour per term and show as round swatches, sizes as text buttons. A ring-size guide opens as a native dialog and also appears as a tab. Engraving and a gift box are add-on fields on the product form, validated, stored in the cart item and copied to the order line. Product custom fields drive the Details, Materials & certificate, Care and Delivery tabs. The Toolkit's project type became Collections: an editorial photo, a story and a list of pieces.

Quality gates and results

Gemmora ships as a free download with a one-click demo: 18 pages, 34 products under fictional brands, four editorial collections, six client stories and a journal. Gates: php -l 0, phpcs 0 errors and 0 warnings, Theme Check 0 required, Woo checkout flow and Elementor editor pass, and the no-3D scan is clean.

A jewellery shop has a harder job than most: shoppers cannot try the piece on, so the website has to answer the worries for them. Will it fit? What is it made of? Can it be engraved? Is there paperwork? DEV3 Gemmora is a free WordPress theme built to answer those questions on the page, with real photography instead of effects and every page editable in Elementor.

Bridal, bespoke and gifts

A bridal landing page explains the four Cs and settings and takes appointment requests. A bespoke page walks through consultation, design, model and make, with a request form. The gift guide sorts the shop by budget.
