DEV3 Freshfold is a WordPress theme for laundries, dry cleaners, wash-and-fold services, pressing and alteration shops and small business linen services. It is soft and fresh: a cool-white page, periwinkle and peach accents, round Comfortaa headlines, 26 px bubble corners and a hero photo inside a round washing-machine window. Motion is light (split headings, reveals, drifting bubbles, stacked cards) and respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

Buy a licence to download it. There is no public live demo: watch the video tour at the top of this page, or step through the screenshots at desktop, tablet and phone sizes.

A price list that answers the first question

  • A per-item price list with dotted-leader rows, grouped by category, with live search, category filters and a Standard / Express switch that shows next-day prices. It is rendered by the server first, so it is complete without JavaScript and readable by search engines, and the prices are published as an offer catalogue in the business markup.
  • Each price item is a simple entry: price, unit, turnaround and an optional tag. Forty sample items in six categories ship with the demo.

Schedule a pickup

  • A scheduler card on the home hero: pickup day, window and postcode, then on to the pickup form with your choices filled in.
  • A pickup form with day chips, window cards, a bag stepper, a live estimate and a postcode check. The server checks everything again: it recomputes the price from your settings and rejects an invalid bag weight, an unknown item, a day or window that is not on offer, a postcode outside your areas or a missing address. Requests are stored in the admin and emailed to you.
  • Estimate my bag: kilos of wash and fold at your rate plus counted items, express surcharge, minimum order and a free-pickup threshold, all set in the Customizer.
  • Pickup window at checkout for physical products such as bundles, stored on the order and shown in emails.

Bundles, services and business laundry

  • Three subscription bundles as WooCommerce products with a comparison table. They are prepaid months; the theme carries compatible styling for subscriptions plugins and is not a subscriptions engine itself.
  • Service pages with what is included, what is not, turnaround, FAQs (with FAQPage markup) and a sticky pickup card.
  • A postcode area checker, a business laundry page with a quote form, reviews, FAQ and a laundry tips blog.

Shop and editing

WooCommerce styling for bundles, a variable gift card, a canvas laundry bag and a downloadable care guide, a slide-out mini cart and a checkout with a first-pickup selector. Every demo page is built in Elementor (the free version works) with the DEV3 Theme Toolkit widgets, and 35 block patterns cover the same sections for the block editor. Fonts are self-hosted. The demo photos are free-licence stock photos listed in PHOTO-CREDITS.md; the laundry company, people, prices and reviews are fictional.

How it's built

Architecture, stack, key decisions and the quality gates DEV3 Freshfold passed before release.

Our own WordPress theme for laundries and dry cleaners: a round-window photo hero, a searchable per-item price list, a bag estimator, a pickup form that is validated on the server and subscription bundles, built on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

A laundry site has to answer three questions fast: what does it cost, when can you collect it and when do I get it back. Most laundry themes hide prices in images, offer a booking form that accepts anything, or promise a live calculator that nothing checks. Freshfold had to put a real price list, an honest estimate and a pickup scheduler on every page, be fully editable in Elementor, and refuse impossible bookings on the server rather than trusting the browser.

Architecture and approach

Freshfold is a classic PHP theme with theme.json, built on DEV3's shared theme core in flat mode: a build gate fails the theme if any three.js or WebGL code reaches its assets. The always-loaded JavaScript is about 13 KB gzipped.

The DEV3 Theme Toolkit supplies the post types (price items, services, reviews) and the widgets, including the Photo Hero that opens every page; on the home page theme CSS shapes it into a washing-machine window. The niche features are theme code: a price list rendered by the server and filtered in the browser, a bag estimate (kilos times a rate plus counted items, an express surcharge, a minimum order and a free-pickup threshold), a pickup form whose day, window, postcode, weight and items are re-checked on the server before anything is stored, and a pickup-window selector at checkout. They are placed with simple HTML markers so Elementor's cache never freezes them.

Everything works without JavaScript; the script adds filtering, live totals and hints.

Quality gates and results

Freshfold ships with a one-click demo: 8 Elementor pages, 6 services, a 40-item price list in 6 categories, 6 reviews, 5 articles, 6 shop products and 35 block patterns.

It passes PHP lint, WordPress coding standards (0 errors, 0 warnings), Theme Check with no required issues, the WooCommerce checkout flow with a pickup window and an Elementor editor test, and its no-3D gate.

A laundry WordPress theme: price list, pickup and bag estimate with Freshfold

A laundry WordPress theme: price list, pickup and bag estimate with Freshfold: DEV3 Freshfold

A laundry website has one job: make a busy person confident enough to hand over a bag. That means a price they can read, a pickup day they can pick and a clear idea of when it comes back. DEV3 Freshfold is a WordPress theme built for exactly that, with every page editable in Elementor.

Who Freshfold is for

  • Laundries and wash-and-fold services that collect and deliver.
  • Dry cleaners and pressing shops with per-item prices and longer turnarounds.
  • Business linen services for salons, gyms, cafes and small hotels.

A price list that does the selling

Every item has a price, a unit and a turnaround. The list shows them with dotted leaders, grouped by category, with a search box, category filters and an Express switch that shows next-day prices. The server renders the whole list, so it works without JavaScript and search engines can read it.

Estimate my bag

Enter the kilos of wash and fold, add counted items such as shirts or a duvet, and choose standard or express. The estimate adds the rate, the surcharge, the minimum order and the pickup fee and opens the pickup form with everything filled in.

A pickup form the server checks again

The form offers day chips and window cards from your own settings. When it is sent, the theme recomputes the price and refuses anything impossible: a bag outside the allowed weight, an unknown item, a day you are closed, a postcode you do not cover. You get one clean request with the pickup, address, bag, turnaround and estimate.

Bundles and checkout

Three prepaid monthly bundles are WooCommerce products with a comparison table, and checkout asks for the first pickup window, which is saved on the order and shown in the emails.

Edit everything

Every page is built with Elementor containers and DEV3 widgets, and 35 block patterns cover the same sections for the block editor. Pickup days, windows, rates, areas, closed dates and the express surcharge are Customizer settings, not code.

Light on purpose

Freshfold has no 3D or WebGL. The scripts that run on every page are about 13 KB gzipped, fonts are self-hosted and motion respects the reduced-motion setting.
