A free wine and spirits store WordPress theme: age gate, filters and mixed cases
Last updated

Selling wine, beer and spirits online asks more of a website than most shops. Visitors need an age question that does not lock out search engines, product pages that explain taste in plain words, a way to choose between hundreds of bottles, and baskets that feel like a good merchant's: mixed cases, a club, tasting evenings and gifts. DEV3 Cellaro is a free WordPress theme built for exactly that, in a cellar-dark, editorial look, with every page editable in Elementor.

Who Cellaro is for
- Wine merchants and bottle shops that sell by region, grape and price.
- Craft breweries and distilleries with a shop, a taproom or tasting evenings.
- Agencies building a drinks store the client can keep editing.
An age gate that stays out of search's way
The theme asks Are you of legal drinking age in your country? in an accessible dialog and remembers the answer in a cookie. You can switch it off, set the minimum age shown and write your own text in the Customizer. It is a courtesy check, never age verification, and it makes no legal claim. The page content always stays in the HTML and known search bots skip the dialog, so crawlers can read the whole site.

A shop that helps people choose
The shop and every category show type chips and a refine bar for region, grape or style and price. Product pages carry a maker line, a facts strip with ABV, vintage or age, volume and serving temperature, tasting notes with a flavour profile, food pairings and delivery and age notes.

A mixed-case builder
A case is a bundle product. Visitors fill twelve slots bottle by bottle, watch the total and the case discount, and add the whole case in one go. The server checks the contents, prices the case and lists every bottle on the order.

Club, events and gifts
The wine club has three tiers and a sign-up form saved as a private request. Tasting events show the date, the pours, the ticket state and a booking button tied to a WooCommerce ticket. A gift guide sorts bottles by budget, person and occasion, and a responsible-drinking note sits above the footer.

- WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer
- The DEV3 Theme Toolkit plugin (included and required for the widgets, post types and demo)
