Set up your shop once

Enter the shop name, address, phone and, if you charge tax, your registration number. Add a small logo if you like. These details stay in your browser, and the New receipt button clears the sale while keeping them, so you only type them once.

Ring up the sale

Give the receipt a number and leave the date blank to stamp the time you download it. Add each item with a quantity and unit price. Descriptions wrap to the paper width, so long names are fine. You can add a customer name or the staff member who served them.

Tax, discount and delivery

Pick One rate for a flat tax percentage, or Per line if some goods are taxed differently. Tick "Prices already include tax" when your shelf prices are tax-inclusive, which is common in retail; the tax is then shown as part of the total. A discount can be a percentage or fixed amount. Add a delivery or service charge in its own field.

Payment and change

Say how the customer paid, such as cash, card or UPI. If they paid cash, enter the amount tendered and the receipt prints the change due.

Choose the paper

• Thermal 80 mm suits most countertop receipt printers.
• Thermal 58 mm suits small mobile printers; text is slightly smaller.
• A5 page is a roomier layout for a regular printer or for emailing.

For thermal sizes the PDF is cut to the exact height of your content. When printing, choose 100% scale, no margins and no headers or footers. If your printer driver stretches the page, set its paper size to match.

A tip for busy counters

Keep the tab open and edit the items between sales. Each receipt needs a unique number, so change it by hand, and download the PDF before you clear the screen.
