DEV3 Voyanta – Free Travel Agency & Tours WordPress Theme for Elementor & WooCommerce

A free, photo-led WordPress theme for travel agencies and tour operators: a tour search that works without JavaScript, tour pages with day-by-day itineraries, included lists, departures with places left and a booking request, plus destinations, deals and a voucher shop. No 3D.

DEV3 Voyanta is a free WordPress theme for travel agencies, tour operators, adventure and walking holiday companies and trip planners. It is bright and confident: Poppins headlines, cool paper surfaces, deep teal ink with jade accents and sunset-orange buttons, and real destination photography in every section. Tour cards are designed like boarding passes, itineraries run along a route line, and motion is light (split headings, reveals, counters, stacked cards, a slow Ken Burns drift on the hero) and respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

A tour search that works without JavaScript

  • A floating search dock on the home page and a full search panel on the Tours page: destination, month, length and budget, plus trip type and sort.
  • It is a plain GET form filtered on the server, so results, counts and pagination work with JavaScript off, and every result page has a shareable URL.

Tours that sell the trip

  • Tour pages with a photo hero, price and deal badge, a facts strip (length, group size, activity level, departure months, style), the overview and highlights.
  • A day-by-day itinerary on a route line, built from native details elements (with an "Open all days" button when JavaScript is on), with the stay and meals for each day.
  • Included / not included lists, a departure table with price and places left (available, few left, full), a map and a sticky booking request with the date preselected.
  • Destinations with good-to-know facts and things to do, regional archives, a Deals page with a countdown, traveller reviews and a travel journal.

Booking and requests

  • The booking request and the full Plan my trip form store a private request (with destination, budget, travellers and date) and email the site admin. Both work without JavaScript.
  • A gift voucher product with variable amounts, tour deposits and downloadable travel guides (PDF) use the themed WooCommerce shop and slide-out mini cart.

Built for editing

Every demo page is built in Elementor (free) with the DEV3 Theme Toolkit widgets, and 24 block patterns cover the same sections for the block editor. Colours and fonts come from one token file and sync to the Customizer, theme.json and the Elementor kit. Fonts are self-hosted. The demo photos are free-licence (CC0) stock photos listed in PHOTO-CREDITS.md; the agency, travellers, prices and departures are fictional.

How it's built

Architecture, stack, key decisions and the quality gates DEV3 Voyanta passed before release.

Our own free WordPress theme for travel agencies: a server-side tour search, tour pages with day-by-day itineraries and departure dates, destinations, deals, reviews and booking requests, built on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

A travel agency sells a trip people cannot touch, so the website has to answer the same questions every time: where does it go, when, for how long, for how much, what is included and who will look after me. Most travel themes hide the answers behind scripts or generic icons. Voyanta had to put a working search, a clear itinerary, real departure dates and a simple booking request on every tour, look inspiring with photography rather than effects, stay fully editable in Elementor and ship with no 3D or WebGL code.

Architecture and approach

Voyanta is a classic PHP theme with theme.json, built on DEV3's shared theme core in flat mode: a build gate fails the theme if any three.js or WebGL code reaches its assets. The always-loaded JavaScript is about 12 KB gzipped.

The DEV3 Theme Toolkit supplies the post types, which Voyanta re-labels as Tours, Destinations, Departures, Travel experts and Traveller reviews. The search is a plain GET form filtered in pre_get_posts on destination, departure month, length and price, so it works without JavaScript. Itineraries are stored one day per line and rendered as native details elements on a route line; departures are a real table that collapses into cards on phones.

Booking requests post to the toolkit's request handler, which stores a private request and emails the admin, with or without JavaScript. Tours are described to search engines as TouristTrip. The demo uses free-licence CC0 photos with a credits file.

Quality gates and results

Voyanta ships as a free download with a one-click demo: 12 destinations, 14 tours with itineraries and 40 departures, 8 traveller reviews, 3 travel experts, 7 journal articles, 6 shop products, 8 Elementor pages and 24 block patterns.

It passes PHP lint, WordPress coding standards (0 errors, 0 warnings), Theme Check with no required issues, the WooCommerce checkout flow and an Elementor editor test, and its no-3D gate.

A free travel agency WordPress theme: tours, itineraries and booking with Voyanta: DEV3 Voyanta

A travel agency's website has one job: help a visitor who is half-decided turn into a booking request. That means answers (where, when, how long, how much, what is included) and a clear next step on every page. DEV3 Voyanta is a free WordPress theme built for exactly that, with real destination photography instead of effects and every page editable in Elementor.

Who Voyanta is for

  • Travel agencies and tour operators with fixed departures and small groups.
  • Walking, cycling and adventure holiday companies that sell itineraries by the day.
  • Trip planners and freelancers who want a clear enquiry form and a gift voucher shop.

Tours that answer the questions

Each tour stores its price, days, group size, activity level, departure months, highlights, itinerary (one day per line), included and not included lists, a map point and a booking link. The single template lays them out the same way every time: a photo hero with the price, a facts strip, the overview, a day-by-day itinerary on a route line, what is included, and a table of departures with places left.

Departures are stored as their own records and listed on the tour and in a "Next departures" strip on the home page, with available, few left and full states.

A clear next step

The booking request on every tour has the departure date preselected, and the Plan my trip page adds destination and budget. Requests are stored privately in WordPress and emailed to you, with or without JavaScript.

A shop for vouchers, deposits and guides

WooCommerce is styled for a small travel shop: gift vouchers with variable amounts, tour deposits and downloadable PDF guides, with a slide-out mini cart.
