DEV3 Tallyra – Free Accounting & Tax WordPress Theme for Elementor & WooCommerce

A free, photo-led WordPress theme for accountants and tax consultants: services by client type, a tax deadline calendar, fee packages, a labelled tax estimator, secure document requests, a team directory and a shop. No 3D.

DEV3 Tallyra is a free WordPress theme for accounting firms, bookkeepers, tax preparers and financial consultants. It looks like good ledger paper: IBM Plex Serif headlines, tabular figures, pale paper bands, deep navy panels with green and gold accents, and real photography in every section. Motion is light (split headings, reveals, counters, stacked cards, a slow Ken Burns drift) and respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

Built around how clients look for an accountant

  • Services by client type: individuals and families, small business, and startups and founders, each with its own services, fee line, turnaround, how it works, what to have ready and FAQs.
  • Tax deadline calendar: tear-off date tiles for every deadline, grouped by month or by client type, with who each applies to and what to do. The demo dates are samples with a clear "confirm with your tax authority" note.
  • Fee packages: three monthly packages with a Monthly / Yearly switch and a comparison table, plus a fixed-fee table for returns and projects.

A tax estimator that stays honest

  • Two calculator panels (a refund estimate and an expense-saving estimate) built with the toolkit calculator and a custom formula.
  • Every result sits beside an "estimate, not tax advice" notice, and nothing the visitor types is stored.

Secure document requests

  • A request form with a file picker that checks file type, size and count on the visitor's device before they send the request (PDF, JPG, PNG, CSV, XLSX, DOCX; 10 MB each; five files).
  • Files are not uploaded by the form: you reply with your own private link or portal. The page never asks for passwords or card numbers.

Team, guides and shop

  • A team directory with live filters (name, service, office, language, role) and accountant profiles with qualifications and a vCard download.
  • A resources and guides blog with categories and reading time.
  • WooCommerce styling for consultations (variable 30 and 60 minute sessions) and downloadable PDF checklists, with a slide-out mini cart.

Built for editing

Every demo page is built in Elementor (free) with the DEV3 Theme Toolkit widgets, and 28 block patterns cover the same sections for the block editor. Colours and fonts come from one token file and sync to the Customizer, theme.json and the Elementor kit. Fonts are self-hosted. The demo photos are free-licence (CC0) stock photos listed in PHOTO-CREDITS.md; all names, clients, fees and deadlines are fictional samples.

How it's built

Architecture, stack, key decisions and the quality gates DEV3 Tallyra passed before release.

Our own free WordPress theme for accountants and tax consultants: services by client type, a deadline calendar, fee packages, a labelled tax estimator and secure document requests, on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

Accounting clients arrive anxious and short of time. They want to know which service fits them, what it costs, what is due and when, and how to send documents without risking their data. Most accounting themes answer with stock icons and a contact form. Tallyra had to make deadlines, fees and a safe way to share paperwork obvious on every page, keep estimators clearly labelled as estimates, stay editable in Elementor, and ship no 3D or WebGL code at all.

Architecture and approach

Tallyra is a classic PHP theme with theme.json, built on DEV3's shared theme core in flat mode: a WebGL-free boot with a build gate that fails the theme if three.js code reaches its assets. The always-loaded JavaScript is about 13 KB gzipped.

The DEV3 Theme Toolkit provides the post types (services, team, tax deadlines, client stories) and widgets: the Photo Hero, Event List for the calendar, Calculator with a custom formula for the estimators, Pricing with a Monthly / Yearly switch, Comparison and Request Form. A small lazy script adds the secure-document picker, which checks file type, size and count in the browser and never uploads files.

Services are grouped by client type with a taxonomy, each with how it works, what to have ready and FAQs. Estimates carry an explicit not-tax-advice notice, and all demo deadlines are labelled samples.

Quality gates and results

Tallyra ships as a free download with a one-click demo: 10 Elementor pages, 6 services in 3 client types, 7 accountants, 13 sample deadlines, 6 guides, 8 shop products and 28 block patterns.

It passes PHP lint, WordPress coding standards (0 errors, 0 warnings), Theme Check with no required issues, the WooCommerce checkout flow and an Elementor editor test, and its no-3D gate.

A free accounting WordPress theme: tax calendar, fees and secure documents: DEV3 Tallyra

An accountant's website has one job: help an anxious, busy person decide you are the right pair of hands. That means showing which service fits them, what it costs, what is due and when, and how to send paperwork safely. DEV3 Tallyra is a free WordPress theme built for exactly that, with real photography instead of effects and every page editable in Elementor.

Who Tallyra is for

  • Accounting and tax practices, from solo preparers to small firms.
  • Bookkeepers, payroll providers and fractional CFOs who sell fixed-fee packages.
  • Agencies and freelancers building a professional-services site the client can keep up to date.

Services by client type

Individuals, small businesses and startups look for different things. Each service stores its fee, turnaround, how it works, a "what to have ready" checklist and FAQs, and is filed under a client type so visitors can browse by who they are.

A tax calendar people use

Deadlines are their own post type with a due date, who they apply to and a category. The Event List widget shows them as tear-off date tiles; past dates drop off by themselves. The demo dates are samples and every page says to confirm with your tax authority.

Fees, without surprises

An estimator that stays honest

Two calculator panels use the toolkit's custom formula. Each sits beside a clear estimate, not tax advice notice, and nothing the visitor types is stored.

Secure document requests

The request form adds a file picker that checks type, size and count on the visitor's device, then asks you to reply with a private link. Files are never uploaded by the form, and the page tells visitors not to send passwords or card numbers.
