DEV3 Movara – Free Moving & Relocation WordPress Theme for Elementor & WooCommerce

A free, warm WordPress theme for moving and relocation companies: a photo hero, a moving cost estimator, a four-step quote with move date, a checklist, storage units, a packing shop, crew and reviews. No 3D, light motion only.

DEV3 Movara is a free WordPress theme for local movers, long-distance and international relocation companies, office movers and storage providers. It looks like a friendly home, not a freight yard: Kanit headings in plain sentence case, a warm cream page, navy ink, orange accents, masking-tape labels, doorway-arch photos and soft rounded sheets, with real photography of homes, rooms and storage in every section. Motion is light and purposeful (split headings, reveals, counters, stacked cards, a slow Ken Burns drift on the hero) and it respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

A photo hero with an estimate bar

  • The toolkit's Photo Hero widget: one photo, a cross-fading slideshow or a muted background video, with an overlay or gradient, optional Ken Burns drift, a split headline, two buttons and trust chips.
  • A white estimate bar under the hero takes the move type, both ZIP codes and the move date, and opens the quote form with those answers pre-filled.

Tools for movers

  • A moving cost estimator (rooms or desks, distance, packing and storage) that shows a live range, a breakdown and a link to the quote. It is clearly labelled as an estimate, and every price is a sample you change with one filter.
  • A multi-step quote request (Contact Form 7) with a move date, flexibility, both addresses and stairs, home size, packing, storage and special items, with a progress bar and per-step checks.
  • An interactive moving checklist: eight weeks of tasks you can tick off, with progress saved in the browser and a print button.
  • A service-area checker: type a ZIP code and see whether a local crew or a long-distance move applies, from one editable list.
  • Storage units with a size finder, unit cards, a comparison table and a Reserve button that pre-fills the quote.

Services, crew and reviews

  • Services for local, long-distance, office and international moves, storage, and packing, each with a price guide, typical timing, "how it works" steps, numbers and FAQs.
  • A crew directory with live filters (name, service, depot, language, role) and profiles with certifications, languages and a vCard download.
  • Reviews with rating counters and review cards, and an FAQ page with FAQPage schema.

Packing supplies shop

Optional WooCommerce styling for boxes, tape, bubble wrap and moving kits, with a slide-out mini cart and a clean checkout. The demo product pictures are original illustrations.

Built for editing

Every demo page is built in Elementor (free) with the DEV3 Theme Toolkit widgets, and 28 block patterns cover the same sections for the block editor. Colours and fonts come from one token file and sync to the Customizer, theme.json and the Elementor kit. Fonts are self-hosted. The demo photos are free-licence (CC0) stock photos listed in PHOTO-CREDITS.md, with no logos or readable plates; all names, customers, prices and figures are fictional.

How it's built

Architecture, stack, key decisions and the quality gates DEV3 Movara passed before release.

Our own free WordPress theme for moving and relocation companies: a photo hero with an estimate bar, a cost estimator, a four-step quote, a moving checklist, storage units and a packing shop, built on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

A moving company sells trust at a stressful moment. Visitors want three things quickly: what will it cost, can you do my date and will my things be safe. Most moving themes answer with a freight-yard look, a generic contact form and a calculator that pretends to be a quote. Movara had to feel like home rather than a depot, give an honest estimate range that is clearly not a quote, turn it into a short multi-step request with a move date, stay fully editable in Elementor, and ship no 3D or WebGL code at all.

Architecture and approach

Movara is a classic PHP theme with theme.json, built on DEV3's shared theme core in flat mode: a "flat": true token stamps a WebGL-free boot (smooth scroll, header, motion) and a build gate fails the theme if any three.js or WebGL code reaches its assets. The always-loaded JavaScript is about 16 KB gzipped.

The DEV3 Theme Toolkit provides the post types (services, crew, storage units, reviews) and the widgets, and its Photo Hero opens every page. The moving tools are shortcodes with a small lazy script: an estimator driven by one pricing filter, a checklist saved in the browser, a ZIP-code area checker, a storage size finder and a Contact Form 7 form whose fieldsets become four steps with a progress bar. Without JavaScript every tool still reads as plain content. The demo photos are free-licence CC0 images with a credits file, and the packing-shop pictures are original illustrations.

Quality gates and results

Movara ships as a free download with a one-click demo: 16 pages, 6 services, 8 crew members, 5 storage units, 8 reviews, 7 packing tips, 12 shop products and 28 block patterns.

It passes PHP lint, WordPress coding standards (0 errors, 0 warnings), Theme Check with no required issues, the WooCommerce checkout flow and an Elementor editor test, and its no-3D gate.

A free moving company WordPress theme: estimator, quote steps and a checklist with Movara: DEV3 Movara

A moving website has three questions to answer fast: what will it cost, can you do my date, and will my things be safe. DEV3 Movara is a free WordPress theme built around exactly that. It feels like a friendly home rather than a freight yard, with real photography of rooms and storage instead of effects, and every page editable in Elementor.

Who Movara is for

  • Local and long-distance movers who want a clear price guide and a booking request with a date.
  • Office, international and storage companies that sell planning, packing and space.
  • Agencies and freelancers building a movers site the client can keep up to date.

An honest estimate, then a short quote

The cost estimator asks for the type of move, the size of the home or office, the distance, packing and storage, and shows a live range with a breakdown. It is labelled as an estimate, not a quote, and every price is a sample you change in one PHP filter. A button opens the four-step quote with the answers pre-filled: the move and its date, both addresses, the home and extras, and the visitor's details.

A checklist, service areas and storage

The moving checklist gives visitors eight weeks of tasks to tick off, with a progress bar and a print button; the ticks stay in their own browser. The area checker takes a ZIP code and says whether a local crew or a long-distance move applies. Storage units come with a size finder, unit cards and a comparison table, and a Reserve button that opens the quote.

Crew, reviews and the packing shop

The crew directory filters live by name, service, depot, language and role. Reviews use rating counters and cards, and the FAQ page publishes FAQPage schema. The optional packing shop sells boxes, tape, bubble wrap and moving kits through WooCommerce.
