DEV3 Rankora is a free WordPress theme for digital marketing, SEO, PPC, content and growth agencies, plus freelancers and in-house growth teams. It is bold and punchy: Space Grotesk headlines, cream paper, ink bands with a dot grid, coral and violet accents, hard shadows and pill buttons, with real photography in every hero. Motion is light and purposeful (split headings, reveals, counters, stacked cards, a horizontal-scroll work strip, a slow Ken Burns drift on the hero) and it respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

A photo hero that sells the agency

  • The toolkit's Photo Hero widget: one photo, a cross-fading slideshow or a muted background video, with overlay or gradient, Ken Burns drift, a split headline, two buttons and coral result chips such as "+212% organic traffic".

Built for editing

Colours and fonts come from one token file and sync to the Customizer, theme.json and the Elementor kit. Fonts are self-hosted. The demo photos are free-licence (CC0) stock photos listed in PHOTO-CREDITS.md; all names, clients and figures are fictional.

How it's built

Our own free WordPress theme for growth agencies: a photo hero slideshow, horizontal-scroll case studies, keyword before/after tables, monthly packages, an ROI calculator and a free-audit form, built on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

An agency sells results it cannot show in a screenshot. Buyers want proof they can read: what moved, by how much and for whom, what it costs and how to start. Most agency themes answer with gradients and vague claims. Rankora had to put numbers, rankings and a clear free first step on every page, look bold and different from a consulting site, stay fully editable in Elementor and ship no 3D or WebGL code.

Architecture and approach

Rankora is a classic PHP theme with theme.json, built on DEV3's shared theme core in flat mode: a build gate fails the theme if any three.js or WebGL code reaches its assets. The always-loaded JavaScript is about 12.5 KB gzipped.

The DEV3 Theme Toolkit provides the post types (services, work, team, client stories) and the widgets. The Photo Hero opens every page. Case studies store their challenge, approach, results and a keyword table as fields, so the single template lays out counted results and a before/after rankings table consistently. The pricing page combines the toolkit's pricing, comparison and calculator widgets; the calculator uses a custom formula for the ROI estimate.

The free audit uses a Contact Form 7 form with a website URL field; the demo uses free-licence CC0 photos with a credits file.

Quality gates and results

Rankora ships as a free download with a one-click demo: 5 Elementor pages, 8 services, 6 case studies with rankings tables, 8 specialists, 6 insights, 8 shop products and 30 block patterns.

It passes PHP lint, WordPress coding standards (0 errors, 0 warnings), Theme Check with no required issues, the WooCommerce checkout flow and an Elementor editor test, and its no-3D gate.

Proof first: case studies and rankings

Each case study stores its client, industry, year, project length, challenge, what you did, four headline results and a client quote. It also stores a keyword table: keyword, monthly searches, position before and position after. The template shows the counted results on an ink band and the table with the gain for every keyword.

Packages come with a monthly or annual toggle and a comparison table. An ROI calculator built from the toolkit's custom-formula calculator lets a visitor move four sliders and see the extra monthly revenue organic growth could bring, with an honest disclaimer.

Set it up in an afternoon

  1. Install the theme and the DEV3 Theme Toolkit, then import the demo from Appearance → DEV3 Demo.
  2. Replace the demo photos with your own and edit the hero slides in the Photo Hero widget.
  3. Rewrite the services, add two or three real case studies with their rankings and add your team.
  4. Set your phone number and free-audit link under Appearance → Customize → Rankora: business details.
