DEV3 Nodewell is a free WordPress theme for managed service providers, IT support companies, cloud and cyber security consultancies and in-house IT teams that sell services. It is cool and technical: Plus Jakarta Sans headlines, crisp white and mist surfaces, deep navy bands with a blueprint grid, electric blue actions and signal-teal accents, with real photography in every section. Motion is light and purposeful (split headings, reveals, counters, stacked cards, a slow Ken Burns drift on the hero) and it respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

A photo hero that shows a real service desk

  • The toolkit's Photo Hero widget: one photo, a cross-fading slideshow or a muted background video, with an overlay or gradient, optional Ken Burns drift, a split headline, two buttons and chips such as an "all systems normal" status.
  • Inner pages use the same widget at medium or short height, so every page opens with a photo and a clear heading.

Plans, services and proof

  • Managed service tiers (Essential, Business, Enterprise) with a per-user price, a response-time badge and a highlighted tier, plus a Managed plans page with a Monthly / Yearly switch and a comparison table.
  • Services with a starting price, a response target, a lead sentence, "how we deliver" steps, selected results and FAQs; each service page has an on-this-page menu and an audit request form with the service pre-selected.
  • An SLA numbers band (uptime, first response, first-contact fix, satisfaction) with counters, and case studies with client, industry, project length, the challenge, how it was fixed, four counted results and a client quote.

Help centre and people

  • A help centre built on the toolkit's docs type: instant search, category index, sidebar navigation, breadcrumbs and an on-this-page table of contents.
  • An engineers directory with live filters (name, service, office, language, role) and profiles with certifications, specialities and a vCard download.
  • Book an IT audit: an appointment form whose topics come from your services, stored as private requests and emailed to you.

Shop

WooCommerce styling for hardware bundles, prepaid support hours (variable: 10, 25 or 50 hours) and downloadable PDF playbooks, with a slide-out mini cart.

Built for editing

Every demo page is built in Elementor (free) with the DEV3 Theme Toolkit widgets, and 27 block patterns cover the same sections for the block editor. Colours and fonts come from one token file and sync to the Customizer, theme.json and the Elementor kit. Fonts are self-hosted. The demo photos are free-licence stock photos listed in PHOTO-CREDITS.md; all names, clients, uptime and savings figures are fictional.

How it's built

Architecture, stack, key decisions and the quality gates DEV3 Nodewell passed before release.

Our own free WordPress theme for IT support companies: a photo hero slideshow, managed service tiers, SLA numbers, services, case studies, a help centre with docs search, an engineers directory and IT audit booking, on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

An IT services company sells reliability, which is hard to show on a website. Buyers want proof and clarity: what is covered, how fast you respond, what it costs per user and what happens in the first month. Most MSP themes answer with stock circuit-board graphics and vague promises. Nodewell had to put prices, response times and real outcomes on the page, give existing clients a help centre, look credible with photography rather than effects, stay fully editable in Elementor and ship no 3D or WebGL code.

Architecture and approach

Nodewell is a classic PHP theme with theme.json, built on DEV3's shared theme core in flat mode: a "flat": true token stamps a WebGL-free boot and a build gate fails the theme if three.js or WebGL code reaches its assets. The always-loaded JavaScript is about 12.5 KB gzipped.

The DEV3 Theme Toolkit provides the post types (services, case studies, engineers, help-centre docs, client stories) and the widgets: the Photo Hero, pricing with a Monthly / Yearly toggle, a comparison table, counters for the SLA band, a logo marquee, docs search and navigation. Service and case-study pages store their steps, results and quotes as fields, so the templates lay them out consistently.

Audit booking uses the toolkit's appointment request form with topics from the services; submissions are stored as private requests and emailed. The demo uses free-licence photos with a credits file.

Quality gates and results

Nodewell ships as a free download with a one-click demo: 8 Elementor pages, 8 services, 6 case studies, 8 engineers, 17 help-centre articles, 6 field notes, 6 shop products and 27 block patterns.

It passes PHP lint, WordPress coding standards (0 errors, 0 warnings), Theme Check with no required issues, the WooCommerce checkout flow and an Elementor editor test, and its no-3D gate.

A free IT services WordPress theme: managed plans, a help centre and audit booking: DEV3 Nodewell

An IT company's website has one job: help a busy owner or office manager trust you enough to ask for an audit. That means clarity (what is covered, how fast you respond, what it costs per user), proof (what changed for clients like them) and a clear next step on every page. DEV3 Nodewell is a free WordPress theme built for exactly that, with real photography instead of effects and every page editable in Elementor.

Who Nodewell is for

  • Managed service providers and IT support companies, from a three-person shop to a multi-office team.
  • Cloud, network and cyber security consultancies that sell fixed-price services.
  • Agencies and freelancers building a technical-services site the client will keep up to date.

Plans and numbers up front

The home page shows three managed service tiers with a per-user price and a response-time badge, and a dark band of SLA numbers (uptime, first response, first-contact fix, satisfaction) that count up. The Managed plans page adds a Monthly / Yearly switch and a comparison table.

Proof: case studies

Each case study stores its client, industry, year, project length, services, the challenge, how it was fixed and four headline results. The template lays them out the same way every time: headline and facts, a results band whose figures count up, the challenge, numbered steps and the client quote.

A help centre for existing clients

The toolkit's docs type powers a help centre with instant search, a category index, sidebar navigation, breadcrumbs and an on-this-page table of contents, so existing clients can fix common problems before they raise a ticket.

A clear next step

Book an IT audit is an appointment form whose topics come from your services. Requests are stored privately in WordPress and emailed to you.
