DEV3 Covenly is a free WordPress theme for independent insurance agencies, brokers and agents. It is friendly and trustworthy: Hind headlines, cool mist surfaces, deep navy bands with blue and amber accents, and real photography in every section. Motion is light and purposeful (split headings, reveals, counters, stacked claim-step cards, a slow Ken Burns drift on the hero) and it respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

What you get

  • Five insurance types: auto, home, life, health and business, each with how it works, a cover-level table, agents and FAQs.
  • A multi-step get-a-quote form: cover type, details for that type, contact and review. Requests are stored and emailed.
  • A premium estimator: sliders and a custom formula, clearly labelled illustrative and never a quote.
  • Claims guidance: claims line cards, a five-step timeline, claim types and a checklist.
  • Coverage comparison tables (Essential, Plus, Complete) for every type.
  • Agent profiles with a filterable directory and vCards, client stories, FAQ with structured data.
  • A trust band of fictional text badges (no insurer or rating-agency logos).
  • A WooCommerce shop for policy-review consultations and PDF guides.
  • 25 block patterns, a child theme, docs and a one-click demo.

Every name, carrier, rating and price in the demo is fictional and marked as a sample. Replace them with your own and have your compliance team review the insurance wording before you publish.

How it's built

Architecture, stack, key decisions and the quality gates DEV3 Covenly passed before release.

Our own free WordPress theme for insurance agencies: five insurance types, a multi-step quote request, an illustrative premium estimator, claims guidance, agents and cover comparison, built on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

Insurance is a trust purchase with a lot of fine print. Visitors want to know what each cover includes, roughly what it costs, who they would talk to and what happens when they claim. Most insurance themes answer with stock icons and a single contact form, or worse, with prices that look like binding quotes. Covenly had to make the quote journey simple, show cover levels clearly, keep every estimate honestly labelled, avoid any real insurer or rating-agency branding, stay editable in Elementor and ship with no 3D code.

Architecture and approach

Covenly is a classic PHP theme with theme.json, built on DEV3's shared theme core in flat mode: a WebGL-free boot with smooth scroll, header and motion, and a build gate that fails the theme if any three.js or WebGL code reaches its assets. The always-loaded JavaScript is about 13.5 KB gzipped.

The DEV3 Theme Toolkit supplies the insurance types, agents and client stories plus the widgets: Photo Hero, Calculator, Comparison, Accordion, Timeline and Request Form. A small theme-only script powers the four-step quote form, with type-specific fields, a review step and a no-JavaScript fallback; submissions go through the toolkit's request endpoint. The premium estimators are Calculator widgets with a custom formula and an Illustrative badge.

Quality gates and results

Covenly ships as a free download with a one-click demo: 14 pages, 5 insurance types, 6 agents, 6 client stories, 6 articles, 6 shop products and 25 block patterns.

It passes PHP lint, WordPress coding standards (0 errors, 0 warnings), Theme Check with no required issues, the WooCommerce checkout flow, an Elementor editor test and its no-3D gate.

A free insurance agency WordPress theme: quote form, claims and cover tables: DEV3 Covenly

An insurance agency's website has one job: help a worried or busy visitor trust you enough to ask for a quote, and know what happens if they ever need to claim. DEV3 Covenly is a free WordPress theme built for exactly that, with real photography instead of effects and every page editable in Elementor.

Who Covenly is for

  • Independent agencies and brokers selling auto, home, life, health and business cover.
  • Single agents and small teams who want a professional, trustworthy site quickly.
  • Web designers building insurance sites for clients who will keep them up to date.

A quote journey that feels easy

The home page opens with a quote bar floating over the hero: pick a type, add a ZIP code and go. The Get a quote page is a four-step form with type-specific questions and a review before sending. Requests are stored in the dashboard and emailed to you. The form says plainly that it requests a quote and never binds anyone.

Estimators that stay honest

Two premium estimators (auto and home) use sliders and a custom formula. Both are labelled Illustrative and say they are not a quote. Replace the sample formula with your own, and only show prices you are authorised to quote.

Cover levels and comparison

Each insurance type page has an Essential, Plus and Complete table, and the Compare cover page lays all five types side by side.

Claims guidance and agents

The Claims page gives a claims line, a five-step path to settlement, claim types and a checklist. Agent profiles come with a filterable directory and vCards.

Trust without borrowed logos

The trust band uses plain text badges and fictional carrier names. Do not add real insurer or rating-agency logos or ratings you do not hold, and have your compliance team review all insurance wording.

A shop for policy reviews and guides

Sell policy-review consultations and PDF guides with WooCommerce: variable consultation formats, downloadable guides, a slide-out cart and a styled checkout.

Editing and performance

Every page opens with the Photo Hero widget, editable live in Elementor. The always-loaded script is about 13.5 KB gzipped, motion is light and respects reduced motion, and the theme contains no 3D or WebGL.
