DEV3 Bladewick is a free WordPress theme for barber shops, men's grooming studios, shave parlours and hair studios. It looks like a proper shop: Oswald caps with Work Sans text, cream paper, black leather bands, barber-red actions and brass details, hard square corners, chalk price boards and barber-pole stripes, with real photography in every section. Motion is light (reveals, counters, soft hover lifts) and it respects reduced motion. There is no 3D or WebGL in the theme at all.

Sign in to download it for free. There is no public live demo: watch the video tour at the top of this page, or step through the screenshots at desktop, tablet and phone sizes. The demo shop, Bladewick & Sons Barbers, is fictional and all prices and figures are sample.

Booking that fits a barber shop

  • A hero booking bar (service, barber, day) that opens the Book page with your choices filled in.
  • A booking form where clients tick services, pick a barber or the first free chair, choose a day and a time slot, and watch an appointment ticket add up the price and minutes.
  • A walk-in status chip (open now, busy with a wait time, booked solid or closed) in the header, the menu and service pages, set from the Customizer.
  • An opening-hours board with today highlighted, which also drives the booking time slots.

The price board and the people

  • A chalk price board with dotted leaders, grouped by service, built from your Services list.
  • Barber profiles with chair, specialities, rating and next free slot, and a Book with button that preselects the barber.
  • Memberships with a monthly and yearly toggle, plus star reviews and a gallery with hover captions.

Built for editing

Every demo page is built in Elementor (free) with the DEV3 Theme Toolkit widgets, including the Photo Hero, and 26 block patterns cover the same sections for the block editor. A child theme is included. Colours and fonts come from one token file and sync to the Customizer, theme.json and the Elementor kit. Fonts are self-hosted. The demo photos are free-licence (CC0) stock photos listed in PHOTO-CREDITS.md.

How it's built

Architecture, stack, key decisions and the quality gates DEV3 Bladewick passed before release.

Our own free WordPress theme for barber shops: a hero booking bar, a booking form with an appointment ticket and time slots, a live walk-in chip and a chalk price board, built on the no-3D theme core.

The problem it solves

Men choosing a barber want to know three things fast: how much is it, who will cut my hair, and can I get in today. Most barber themes answer with a stock photo and a contact form. Bladewick had to put prices on a readable board, let a client pick a barber and a time, show whether walk-ins are possible right now, and stay fully editable in Elementor while shipping no 3D or WebGL code.

Architecture and approach

Bladewick is a classic PHP theme with theme.json, built on DEV3's shared theme core in flat mode: a "flat": true token stamps a WebGL-free boot (smooth scroll, header, motion) and a build gate fails the theme if any three.js or WebGL code reaches its assets.

The DEV3 Theme Toolkit provides the post types (services, barbers, reviews) and the widgets. Each service stores a price and minutes; the price board is generated from them. The booking form lists the services and barbers, builds time slots from the opening hours set in the Customizer, and a small script updates the appointment ticket as the client chooses. Requests are stored privately and emailed with the services, barber, time and total. The walk-in chip follows the opening hours automatically or can be pinned to busy, booked solid or closed.

The shop uses WooCommerce with a slide-out mini cart. The demo uses free-licence CC0 photos with a credits file.

Quality gates and results

Bladewick ships as a free download with a one-click demo for the fictional Bladewick & Sons Barbers, with sample prices and figures, 26 block patterns and a child theme.

It passes PHP lint, WordPress coding standards, Theme Check with no required issues, the WooCommerce checkout flow and an Elementor editor test, and its no-3D gate.

A free barber shop WordPress theme: booking, a price board and a walk-in chip: DEV3 Bladewick

A client choosing a barber wants three answers quickly: what does it cost, who will cut my hair, and can I get in today. DEV3 Bladewick is a free WordPress theme built around those questions, with a chalk price board, barber profiles and a booking form, and every page editable in Elementor.

Who Bladewick is for

  • Barber shops and shave parlours, from one chair to a full floor.
  • Men's grooming studios and hair studios that sell cuts, beard work and products.
  • Agencies and freelancers building a local-business site the owner will keep up to date.

Start the booking from the hero

The hero booking bar asks for a service, a barber and a day, then opens the Book page with those choices filled in so the client never starts from zero.

A price board people can read

Every service has a price and a time. The theme turns them into a chalk board with dotted leaders, grouped into cuts, beard and shave, and packages. All prices in the demo are sample figures.

Pick a barber and a time

Barber profiles show chair, specialities, rating and next free slot. The booking form lists the services and barbers, builds time slots from your opening hours, and keeps an appointment ticket with the running total.

Walk-ins, stated honestly

A status chip shows whether walk-ins are possible now: open, busy with a wait time, booked solid or closed. It follows your opening hours or can be set by hand in the Customizer.

Reviews, memberships and the shop

Reviews appear as receipt slips, memberships have a monthly and yearly toggle, and WooCommerce styling covers shaving kit, tools, gift cards and a downloadable guide.
