How to use the school and coaching institute website template

A friendly site that answers parents' questions

Parents and students arrive with practical questions: what do you teach, who teaches it, how do I join, what does it cost and do your students succeed? This template answers each on its own page, in a bright, friendly design that still feels trustworthy.

Edit in the right order

  1. Name and contact. Replace "Brightpath Academy", the address, phone, email and office hours in the header, footer and contact page.
  2. Key figures. Update the four numbers in the home page strip. Use real, recent figures you can back up.
  3. Courses. Edit the cards in courses.html. Each has a level badge, a short description and the schedule. The filter buttons group them by level.
  4. Faculty. Replace the avatars with real teacher photos and add qualifications and years of experience.
  5. Admissions. Rewrite the four steps and the fees table, and answer the questions you hear most in the FAQ.
  6. Results. Update the score bars and toppers each exam season, with consent for names and photos.

Colours and style

The blue and yellow palette is defined as variables at the top of assets/style.css. Cards use chunky borders and a solid offset shadow, with a per-card accent colour set inline. You can calm it down for a more formal school by lightening the borders and removing the shadows.

Enquiries and admissions

The contact form uses a mailto action. For a real admissions workflow connect it to a form service or your CRM, and respond within a working day. Add a clear privacy note because the form collects children's names.

Accessibility and performance

Pages are semantic and keyboard friendly, with visible focus styles, an accessible FAQ built on details and summary, and motion that switches off for reduced-motion visitors. There are no web fonts or frameworks, so pages load fast even on slow connections.

Going live

Upload to any static host, add your institute to your Google Business Profile and write unique titles with your town and the exams you prepare for. For online classes, a parent portal or fee payments, DEV3 can build them around this design.

Accessibility, motion and licence

The template uses semantic landmarks, a skip link, visible focus styles and readable contrast. Motion is limited to gentle fade-ins and hover states, and it switches off for visitors whose device asks for reduced motion. There is no 3D, no WebGL and nothing to load from a CDN. Everything is free for personal and commercial use, and the brand names, people and prices are fictional, so replace them before launch. The README in the zip lists every file and the first edits to make.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a course?

Duplicate an article with class course in courses.html, change the title, grade badge, description and schedule, and set data-g to the filter group (junior, board, senior or exam). The inline --c variable sets the card accent colour.

Can parents pay fees online?

Not in the template. Link the Enrol and Apply buttons to your payment or admission portal, or ask DEV3 to add one.

Is it safe to publish student photos?

Only with written consent from parents. The template ships with illustrated avatars so you can launch without photos, and add real ones only where you have permission.

How do I update results?

Edit the bar widths (inline width percentages) and the topper cards in results.html each year.

Can I use it for a school rather than coaching?

Yes. Rename courses as classes or programmes, add a news section and replace the fee table with your own structure.
