How to use the admin dashboard template
What you get
Five connected pages share one sidebar and top bar: a dashboard with stat cards and a revenue chart, a customers table with filters and pagination controls, a product form, a settings page and a login screen. Open them in the preview above and click through the sidebar.
Add a new page
- Copy an existing page such as table.html and give it a new name.
- Change the page title in the head and the heading inside the main area.
- Replace the main content with your own cards, tables or forms.
- Add a link to the new page in the sidebar of every page, and set the active style on the link that matches the page.
Because the sidebar is repeated in each file, a small template engine or a framework layout will save time once you have more than a handful of pages.
Connect your data
The numbers and table rows are sample data. Replace them with output from your backend by rendering them on the server, or by fetching JSON and building rows in JavaScript. For forms, set each form's action and method, remove the onsubmit attribute, and validate on the server as well as in the browser.
Change the look
Brand colour is defined as three or four variables in src/input.css. Edit them, then rebuild the stylesheet:
npx @tailwindcss/cli -i src/input.css -o assets/tailwind.css --minify
Spacing, radius and shadows use standard Tailwind utilities, so you can adjust them directly in the HTML.
Accessibility and mobile
Inputs have labels, switches are real checkboxes, and tables scroll sideways on small screens rather than breaking the layout. The sidebar collapses behind a menu button below the large breakpoint. Test with your real data, especially long names in tables.
Next step
When a template is no longer enough and you need roles, audit trails and reports, a custom admin built on your own data model is usually the better path.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a full admin framework?
No. It is a clean set of static page designs you can copy into your own project, whether that is plain HTML, a server-rendered app or a component framework. There is no backend or database.
How do I add charts?
The dashboard uses inline SVG so it has no dependencies. For real data, swap in a chart library such as Chart.js or your framework chart component inside the same card.
Can I use it in React, Vue or Laravel?
Yes. The markup is plain HTML with Tailwind classes, so you can paste sections into components or Blade templates. Keep the Tailwind configuration colours so the look is unchanged.
Does the login page actually log anyone in?
No. It links to the dashboard so you can see the flow. Connect the form to your own authentication and add server-side validation.
